We're in the middle of a run of York gigs at the moment. Started off last week with our first time gig at the Fulford Arms, the new home for The Boss Caine Sundown Sessions. Now fortnightly on a Wednesday, we had a great night playing a set following ones by the always stunning Dan Lucas/Boss Caine and an unbelievably good Julian Socha. What a fantastic guitarist and lovely guy generally.
On Friday we were over at Tang Hall to help support the group of people raising funds for York homeless charity SASH. We did a spot of busking for them at Xmas, a great charity doing really great work to help prevent young people becoming homeless.
Monday this week we're part of the deferred Xmas Blonde On Bob night at the Black Swan. Re-badged as After The Flood, we'll be playing an all Dylan set.
On Tuesday we may well pop into Sotanos to sing a song or two at Chris Helme's Ruby Tuesdays and then the next night we support welsh songstress Lowri Evans at the Crescent (again, first time for us at the venue) We'll be joined by Steve Aspley on percussion. Really looking forward to the night.
And last but not least, we had our first review of the new album (in its final form) which you can find in the latest edition of York Calling. Graeme Smith has written a very positive piece. You can find the magazine online here.
