The Troubadour & More
We had an excellent night playing for the good people at VJ's Bar in York to help raise funds for local artist Jo Walton who's studio was effected by the recent floods.(over £400 was raised on the night). Then we were down in London for our spot at the Troubadour. Went down pretty well I think, nice place, nice crowd. On Friday night we played some songs at the Ainsty in York to mark the passing of Robert Brookes. Robert was a great supporter of the York music scene as well as a fine musician himself and a good friend. He's sadly missed by all of us. We've dedicated the new album to him.
New Album & Video
The new album is getting nearer to fruition. Approved the artwork yesterday so it'll be a couple of weeks till the CDs arrive, In the meantime we've had more plays of tracks from the album (this time the mastered versions) on The Troubadour Show and The Audiophile Show on West Wolds Radio. We'll be sending out the album to radio stations far and wide and we'll see what happens. We've had the first cut of the video for the single off the album, Black Feathers. Looks brilliant, we filmed it before Xmas in Belfast and on the Antrim coast. Should be out in a couple of weeks.
Remember to get your tickets for the album launch at The Basement (York) on the 25th March. Everyone attending will get a free copy of North Country.
